[MUSIC PLAYING] Young Joseph Fielding grew up at the side of his father, Joseph F. Smith, asking questions and receiving answers from one who served as an Apostle and prophet. Among my fondest memories are the hours I spent by my father's side discussing principles of the gospel and receiving instruction as only he could give it. In this way, the foundation for my own knowledge was laid in truth so that I, too, can say, "I know that my Redeemer lives and that Joseph Smith is, was, and always will be a prophet of the living God." Under his father's tutelage, Joseph Fielding Smith sensed the reality that all education is spiritual and that one must learn for the eternities by study and by faith. And yet not all instruction received from his father was deeply profound. Sometimes it was just good common sense. While serving his mission in England, Joseph Fielding received the following basic instructions from a loving father. Always take time to eat your meals and post your journal.
