Everything came together really last minute. Alex and I heard the song for the first time just a couple days ago. And this morning in the airport, we were talking about what parts we wanted to do. I was so tired. It was early in the morning. I've got two kids under two that I left at home, and they were awake half the night, but as soon as I got on the plane, my plan was to sleep. But we just started talking and we started talking about this project. [MUSIC PLAYING--"HAVE I DONE ANY GOOD?"]

I think things work best when they're not completely planned out. (SINGING) Doing good is a pleasure-- Yeah, yeah. We're now on the flight and, hey, you should do this lyric, and hey, you should harmonize here. (SINGING) The sad and made someone feel glad, than dream of your mansions-- There's one point when you feel it all coming together, and it's different for every song. (SINGING) If not, I have failed indeed.

(SINGING) Has anyone's burden been lighter today because-- I'm really excited to hear it. They're going to put the strings and the violins. There's an 80-piece choir that's going to be so exciting. Working with Alex Boye--I look up to him so much, so that was really, really fun for me. Carmen is just so-- she's worked with the biggest and the brightest and the best. She's definitely one in a million. He came up with a lot of the really cool African chants at the end that I've never done before. Are you saying words or are you just going to-- Yeah, it's more like just a scat in the start. You can do that humbala. Well, that was something that I was really, really hoping to put in. When I think of this, have I done any good in this world, it's not just America. It's all, every part of the world. And so I felt--because my family's from Nigeria, from West Africa, I wanted to put a little part of that in, because that's part of me. [CHANTING IN UNISON] Humbala humbala, humbala humbala, humbala-- Carmen was awesome. She's doing all these African chants, and I'm teaching her these inflections and stuff. And she's just picking it up, and I'm like, oh, go ahead, girl. (SINGING) There are chances for work all around us now, opportunities-- We want to be a part of just putting out music that will bless. And that's really why we're doing this and why we're presenting this song and recording it and putting it out there. This song has become symbolic of what we want it to be about-- not just about Mormons or LDS people. It's not just about one type of people; it's about all people, that we are all underneath one umbrella. That's the most awesome thing, when we all are doing something together for one purpose, the same purpose, then we see miracles. We can accomplish things that we can never believe that we could accomplish.

[MUSIC PLAYING--"HAVE I DONE ANY GOOD?"]

(SINGING) Have I done any good today?

Have I done any good in this world today? Have I helped anyone in need? Have I cheered up the sad and made someone feel glad? If not, I have failed indeed. Has anyone's burden been lighter today because I was willing to share? Have the sick and the weary been helped on their way? When they needed my help, was I there? Then wake up and do something more than dream of your mansion above. Doing good is a pleasure, a joy beyond measure, a blessing of duty and love.

There are chances for work all around us now, opportunities right in our way. Do not let them pass by, saying, "Sometime I'll try," just go and do something today. 'Tis noble of man to work and to give; love's labor has merit alone. Only he who does something helps others to live; to God each good work will be known. Then wake up and do something more than dream of your mansion above. Doing good is a pleasure, a joy beyond measure, a blessing of duty and love.

Wake up and do something more than dream of your mansion above. Doing good is a pleasure, a joy beyond measure, a blessing of duty and love.
