As part of the devotional, you will have the opportunity to sing hymns to invite the Spirit and to get yourself settled for learning. You get to use the Church's online hymn player, which has many great features that will help you learn to sing with more confidence.
First, make sure you are on the correct page to play the hymn assigned for the day. Then, to play the piano accompaniment for the hymn, click here and sing along. Follow the highlighted bar to help you read the music and the words. The hymn will automatically play through all the verses you see on the page. You won't need to start it over for each verse. If you would like the hymn to be played in a higher or lower key so that you can sing it more easily, you can adjust it here. If you would like to change the tempo of the music to play faster or slower, you can adjust it here. If you would like to sing along with others, you can download an audio file by clicking here on Vocals and Music. You might need to identify which audio program you want to play the audio file, such as iTunes or Windows Media Player. Whatever you choose to do for the devotional hymn, make sure you sing along so that you can invite the Spirit into your mind and heart. By using the tools that are provided on the Church's music site, you can have a meaningful experience with the hymns each day you participate.
