Hi, my name is Sadie Nelson. I am from Seattle, Washington. And one of my favorite scripture masteries would be Helaman 5:12. I just love this scripture because through all my trials and experiences in high school, it was always one that gave me hope and courage to be able to withstand anything that I was put up against because it talks about how Christ is our rock. And I just always loved that, because I just know I can rely on Him for anything. And if I have faith and if I keep the commandments, then it says right here that Satan will not be able to have any power over me. And I think that is the most powerful thing ever, because it shows how much Christ loves us. And if we have our lives built around Christ and we set Him first in our life, then we can do anything, and we can't fall. My name is Chase Butler. I'm from Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, and I have a strong testimony of scripture mastery. I feel scripture masteries are fundamental in helping us nourish and establish our testimonies of the basic doctrines of Jesus Christ. I know that by learning and memorizing them, we can be tools in the Lord's hands. I had an experience on my mission where the Spirit brought to remembrance a scripture mastery I had learned in seminary. We were invited over to a house--a family in the ward--where the husband was a less active member of the Church, and his wife was active. And he was struggling. He didn't know the purpose of life, and he was very unhappy. As we were discussing with him, a scripture came to my remembrance. And after we read the scripture with him, we had a powerful experience. We invited him to pray. And in that prayer, he had a life-changing experience. We continued to meet with him. And it was just amazing to see the change in his life because of just this simple scripture mastery. Now he and his wife are sealed in the temple, and they are as happy as can be. I just have a strong testimony that by learning these scripture masteries and retaining them to memory, we can truly change the lives of others.

My name is Tatiana. I'm from Kiev, Ukraine. My first scripture is Moroni, chapter 10, verses 4 and 5. And well, my favorite one is verse 5, where it says, "And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." I have a lot of questions, and I love to get answers. And I know that the best adviser that I have is the Holy Ghost. And that He will answer me and He will help me in hard situations and He will support me when I'll struggle. You should be always prepared, and you should always read scriptures and have them memorized. Because you never know when you will have to share. My name is Salesi Toti. I've had the opportunity here at the school to apply many scriptures, but one of the ones that's pretty influential for myself is Ether 12:27, where the Lord just pretty much emphasizes that there are weaknesses in our lives. And it's through Him and through faith in Him that we'll be able to make those weaknesses strengths. For myself, I was able to go and serve a two-year mission in the McAllen Texas Mission. As a young person, I found many weaknesses that I've had. And maybe feeling like a person that is pretty big in stature, the Lord broke me down. And He helped me learn through the scripture masteries that anything is possible. I'm able to learn more about myself and the strength of my testimony through our Savior Jesus Christ. My name is Ngandwe Peter Condae. I come from Zambia. That is in Africa, southern part of Zambia. We converted to the Church. I was baptized about eight years ago, and I did serve my mission. I served my mission in Zimbabwe. And I'm so grateful for that great Atonement of Jesus Christ. And when I read the Book of Mormon, something that really touched my heart was the understanding, the clarity of the great Atonement of Jesus Christ. One of the scriptures, the scripture mastery reference that has helped me to understand the great Atonement of Jesus Christ is found in the Book of Mormon, and that is in Alma, chapter 7, verses 11 to 12. This is where he's talking about Thomas trying to teach the people, talking about Jesus Christ. Saying that ye shall go forth suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind. And this, that the way might be fulfilled, which was that He shall take upon Him the pains and the sickness of his people. My name is David Castillo. I'm from Tijuana, Mexico. And being able to learn the scripture masteries, it really helped me a lot. Because when I was growing up in the Church, my mom is a member of the Church, and my dad is not. And when I was 16 or 17, I was wondering if I wanted to go on a mission or not. And if I really wanted to do that, because my mom was encouraging me, like yeah, go on a mission. My dad was like, don't waste your time--it's just two years that you're never going to recover. And in Mosiah, chapter 2, verse 17, God is talking about how when we serve our brothers and sisters, we are only serving Him. And that really got into my heart and it helped me to realize that I really want to go and serve and help my brothers and sisters that are suffering out there in this darkness. And that changed my life completely. I'm here now and I'm able to go to Church and have a testimony because I take that decision. And that only came because that scripture helped me realize that I need to serve God. And the only way to do it is serving my brothers and sisters.

My name is Camilla Crawford, and I'm from Northern Ireland. And I'd just love to share my experience of Ether 12:27. It's one of the scripture masteries that has really made a difference in my life. Here we learn about the fact that if is used a few times within the scripture. And if we come unto Christ, He'll show us our weaknesses, He'll help us understand where we can do better. And if we ask Him, so if we humble ourselves and go to Him and ask Him, then will He make us become strong. I've seen that in my missionary experiences. I've seen it in my school work. I'm currently studying math, which I have always had the hardest time with that. And we had a prayer at the end of our class yesterday. I had had a really difficult time and I was kind of upset, feeling a little bit silly. And we had a prayer, and the person that prayed said, help us keep positive. And when he said that, I thought of this scripture mastery. And I know that even something as simple as math, we can overcome that challenge or that weakness. But only through going to our Savior and asking Him for His help. Hi, I'm Mariama Worry, and I'm from England. My scripture mastery that I wanted to share is Mosiah 2:17, which reads, "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." About six months ago, my family and I went through a crisis we weren't expecting.

And it was a shock to all of us. And the following day, we heard a knock on the door. And as we opened the door, two missionaries were standing outside the door. One of them had actually served in my hometown about six months prior. And he said he was only visiting in the area that day, and he had felt prompted to come and see us. It was our own little miracle that day. Because the night before we had prayed for comfort and help from a loving Father in Heaven. And He showed that to us by sending two missionaries to our door. It was a wonderful experience. I just remember feeling the love of God, and knowing that that missionary had listened to that prompting and come to see us that day. And it is something that will stay with us as a family for the rest of our lives. And throughout eternity. I know that as missionaries are going about every day and as they're listening, and as they're serving, they also are serving God and serving His children. And that, to me, is incredible.
