[MUSIC PLAYING]

Thank you. Good helper. Thank you so much.

We learn in Church Handbook 2 that members can follow the Savior's example by offering hope, understanding, and love to those who have disabilities and that "all thy children shall be taught of the Lord." Sister Collazi. Just wanted to give you an update on a couple of our special needs children, Sophia and Nico, and their classroom. Nico seems to be doing a little bit better. Sister Dauler and Sister Kinghorn are in that class, and that's been about two months now. And the partnership that they have developed together to assist those children has just been wonderful. Now, how big is their class? They are, I think, nine to ten. It's a little big, but at least with the two of them it seems to be working very well. Yep. You have to have faith, OK. I work with both the bishop and the second counselor. When the priesthood is inspired from the perspective of the needs of the overall ward, the needs of the Church, we can counsel a little differently and be inspired as to what we need to do for the kids. I was called into Primary a couple of years ago to be the Primary president and at that time decided that we needed to look to see what we could do to ensure that they had the opportunities to learn and to grow. At that time, I met with both parents and talked about what are the needs of the children. I think what works for the three of us is all three of us are very, very good at communicating. I like Sister Valerie. She is working with Nico. I saw her working with Sophia holding scissors. I am grateful to the Primary president for coming to me and saying, "All right, what is Nico doing? What are you working on at home?" He gets overstimulated very easily. And after sharing time and singing time, they take Nico for a walk, give him that release. I think sometimes we find that people have certain needs, and we think that we need to treat them differently. And for me, I really try to focus on and try to focus my teachers and my counselors on we're all here to learn the gospel, and it's a simple gospel that we're teaching in Primary, and so we fortunately can do that on a level that all the kids can learn. A lot of times, we just bring little things for everybody to do during our lesson and see if we can't keep both the kids who need extra help busy as well as the kids in our class so they don't feel like they're always left out. I have had different experiences with people both in and out of the Church that just maybe don't quite understand that she has challenges, but she's still just a kid. I was talking with her teacher once, and she said, "I don't know that I do anything special with her, but when it's time to stand up, I make sure she stands up like everybody else." Just keeps her involved. Here we go. Ready? [MUSIC - "I'LL WALK WITH YOU"] (SINGING) If you don't walk as most people do, some people walk away from you, but I won't! I won't! I'll walk with you. I'll talk with you. That's how I'll show my love for you.

Think of children with disabilities in your Primary. What can you do to help them feel Heavenly Father's love and understand the gospel of Jesus Christ?
