So on my last birthday, my mom and dad gave me a shiny chrome bike. It was the coolest thing I've ever seen. I could do all kinds of tricks, and I was so much faster than everyone else. But then my friend Evan got a red bike. It was fast, too. Then everyone got a red bike. Mine just wasn't good enough anymore. I had an idea, but my parents said I shouldn't do it. I decided to do it anyway.

This was the best idea I've ever had. My friends were going to be so jealous when they saw my bike. But when I started painting the bike, the red paint started dripping off the chrome. It was the worst thing that could have happened. I thought it was ruined forever.

I went to my parents to ask for their help. I thought they would be so mad, but they weren't.

My dad told me that people make mistakes, and there's always a way to fix them.

He gave me a bunch of tools, and he said it would be a lot of hard work, but that we could make my bike shiny again. It took a long time. I could see my friends outside, and I wanted to go play with them, but I knew I needed to keep working on my bike.

I never thought it would work, but finally the red paint started coming off. I could see how great it was going to be. Soon my bike was just about perfect.

My dad helped me so much.

Race you to the park!

Although the path is not easy, the promise is real: "Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow."
