And the Church to gather the covenant people of Israel back into the fold and then to endow those families by their ordinances in the temple, and those families are then prepared with all the blessings that God has in store for His faithful children upon the earth. They qualify, through the fidelity of those covenants made, for the blessing of eternal life. And that's our Heavenly Father's great hope and glory for all of us.

[SPEAKING JAPANESE] After the war, I was wandering around many places. I was attending a Mormon branch late in 1951. I was able to get baptized in October. [SPEAKING JAPANESE] I first met Brother Maezawa in 1956, when we were call as full-time missionaries.

I had great experiences on my mission. But over many years, I did not feel like going back to church.

[SPEAKING JAPANESE] Brother Fukuda is a temple president. Even after I left the Church, he always visited me, regardless of the weather. He sent me copies of the Liahona. [SPEAKING JAPANESE] I had been assigned to the Maezawa family as their home teacher. I knew that God was using us as His instrument.

Last year, on February 5, 2012, Brother Fukuda and another man came to my house. He said, "My name is Uemura, the bishop at the Hibarigaoka Ward. Brother Maezawa, would you like to come to church?" I can't explain why, but without any hesitation I said, "Yes, I will go to sacrament meeting next Sunday." Both the bishop and I were surprised. And we were both very glad.

Ever since then he has been coming to church.

Visiting the temple with the Maezawas brought me this special feeling.

The most important thing is the opportunity I was given to go to the temple. I never imagined that I could receive such a blessing. Wherever I serve, I just feel a renewed sense of gratitude to God, our Eternal Father, and for His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, in restoring the gospel, especially with those blessings that you receive in the temple. What a marvelous thing it is to know that They love Their children enough to make these blessings available to people wherever they live throughout the world. They're all God's children.
