The Samoan people have an extraordinary spiritual quality. They live close to the Spirit. They're very easy to love, and they love very freely.

I got my mission call. It's exciting. I was thrilled the first moment I opened it.

My conversion story--well, I started to attend the youth. I was nervous the first time. But then after all, it was amazing. They taught me about the gospel. [SPEAKING FOREIGN LANGUAGE] I personally was OK that the children joined, but I had not joined. But the children are the ones that encouraged us. [SPEAKING FOREIGN LANGUAGE] The missionaries would come over all the time. They would preach to my family, and I would accept them in. But I would never attend church. All I know is that they were happy about my decision. But sometimes we had Church activities, like mothers and daughters. It put me to tears when I saw other girls with their mothers, but not me. [MUSIC - "WHERE CAN I TURN FOR PEACE?"] (SINGING) Where can I turn for peace? I decided to go on a mission, not just for myself, but I just wanted to preach the word throughout the world and most importantly for my parents. I wanted them to convert to the Church. [SPEAKING FOREIGN LANGUAGE] We were taught a lesson--a great lesson and challenge--when my daughter was preparing to serve a mission. That is the main reason that changed us. I kept on praying and going to the temple every single day. [SPEAKING FOREIGN LANGUAGE] I figured that this was a sign from God that it was time for me to go to church. And then finally, last month, my parents got baptized in the Church.

It's what I've always wanted. The gospel saved my life and my family.

[SPEAKING FOREIGN LANGUAGE] Even though I haven't been a member for a long time, my life has changed immensely. Since I have joined the Mormon Church, there has been a great change within me, especially in relationships between parents and children. There is a goal we wish to accomplish with the hope to attend the temple.

It is my honest belief that my family will be an eternal family. I've been blessed in so many ways. I believe that families are forever. I just don't want to go without my parents and my whole family. There is a temple here in Samoa because of the large number of faithful members. The Lord doesn't build a temple to stand empty. I know that the gospel is true and that our Savior gave His life to show us the way we should walk and, consistent with keeping our covenants, to have the highest blessings that our Heavenly Father has for any of His children, which is exaltation or eternal life.
