I feel the Spirit in class when the teacher doesn't just stand up and preach, when students get involved and they tell personal stories about things that they've gone through. Our teacher will assign us a certain scripture or a chapter, and she has us partner up a lot. And she'll have us switch off reading the scriptures, and she'll give us a principle to look for. And it's fun to do that on your own, and you have the ability to look for something yourself instead of having your teacher just point it out. So it allows your brain to think, and you feel the Spirit stronger. I feel a special spirit in seminary when my classmates get up to share their testimonies and experiences because it gives me a different view on what we're talking about. Whenever I can, I like to go up and share something that I've learned because I know that sometimes when people go up, I get something out of that that really makes me feel good. As I'm bearing my testimony, I get reminded of things by the Spirit that I would not plan to say. It might not seem like it in the moment, but somebody will be listening, and it will be important to at least somebody. I enjoy hearing from my other classmates because it offers a personal connection. It offers to know that they're going through stuff and struggling too. And to see how they deal with it will help me in my own personal time. I love it when my teacher puts scriptures on the board. We pair up and we find scriptures. And then in those scriptures, we look for a principle that we can learn from and apply to our lives. And then we go around the class, and we share a principle that we found. And then it's very interesting to see the different points of view from everyone else in the class. In class what helps me feel the Spirit is when we share as a class, when we share experiences and share testimonies on things we've read in the scriptures. My classmates have helped bless my life with sharing their own thoughts on the scriptures. They give me new points of view to look at, and they just strengthen my testimony when they share theirs. The best way to feel the Spirit for me in seminary is to get class discussion and class participation. I enjoy when my peers express their testimonies of the Savior because I know that I'm not alone in my belief. I know that my friends believe in the same things that I do, and that strengthens me.
