Hi. My name is Ariela Robles. I am a mental health therapist. And this is how Deseret Industries became a part of my life. I grew up in Peru. I worked as a psychologist and had a bachelor's degree. My husband and I had an opportunity to come and live in the USA, and we took it. Sadly, the recession happened the moment we showed up, and we had to live with relatives because a lot of businesses were on a hiring freeze. So I cleaned houses to make ends meet while my husband went to school. My mother told me about a positive experience she had working at the Deseret Industries. So I talked to my bishop. They hired me, and I started working as a sorter in the back of the store. I really had fun getting back to college and in business partnerships that they facilitated. They also helped me gain confidence in working in another culture. I got emotional on my last day because it wasn't just another job for me; it was a growing experience. I got my master's degree in social work, and I am currently a mental health therapist working two jobs that I love. My husband and I just got a house. We have experienced a lot of growth and support. And I tell everyone that it all started with my journey at Deseret Industries. [MUSIC PLAYING]
