A new family discovery experience center is now open at the Family History Library on Temple Square. We built a space with the hope that it can be an interactive way to discover what your family's story is. And this gives them an opportunity to begin to see that we can connect them to their ancestors, and not only by name, but by the time they lived and what made them think, believe, act the way they did. This 10,000-square-foot center can accommodate the millions of Temple Square visitors that come from all over the world each year. We have tour groups coming every single day. We have school groups here locally that are diving in to discover their families. There's opportunities for little children, teenagers, and families to do this together. I've helped my grandparents who recently came from Brazil. I helped them discover where their lineage actually comes from. They're like, "Oh, my goodness, it's my grandfather." As you look around, you're going to see that this truly was designed so families can get together and gather their own families. I just feel sorry for the parents when they tell their kids it's time to leave.
