King Benjamin teaches that we are to put off the natural man. Change does not occur, in most instances, quickly and all at once. It occurs line upon line, precept upon precept. [MUSIC PLAYING]

We are to become new creatures in Christ. That can only occur through the Atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ. We as individuals do not have the capacity, we do not have the willpower, we do not have the determination to accomplish that heavenly objective by ourselves. Only through the merits and the mercy and the grace of the Holy Messiah can we do that. Our dispositions can be changed through the purifying power of the Holy Ghost. And so for us to be truly honest--for us to become meek and submissive and humble and to develop other Christlike attributes--requires that we rely wholly and totally upon the Lord Jesus Christ. Honesty is the fruit of submission to the will of the Lord. We have no other desire than to have pure intent, real intent--which, if we notice in the scriptures, in the footnotes, refers to integrity.
