Hi, it's Kristen here with LDS Charities. And right now I'm at the worldwide devotional, where President Uchtdorf is speaking. And as soon as his devotional is wrapped up, we're going to have a bunch of young single adults that are going to come to our service fair, where they're going to learn about opportunities to get involved in the area. And LDS Charities, as well as a bunch of our partners, have booths set up, so we're going to talk to them and see what opportunities are available. So one of our first partners that has a booth set up here is the English Skills Learning Center. And we have Anica here, who's going to tell us a little bit about their program. So how can people get involved with your program? So the English Skills Learning Center connects communities through language learning. And so we teach free English classes to low-income immigrants and refugees in the Salt Lake area. So to get involved, you can become a volunteer teacher. And it's only three to five hours a week, and there's no experience necessary. We have a great training program that will help you learn all that you need to know in order to become a great volunteer and teacher. And if you want to know more about how you can help, you can just go to our website, which is eslcenter.org. And you can fill out an application online or get in contact with us that way. Great, awesome, Anica. Thank you so much, and good luck as you get people signing up today. All right, our next partner here is Catholic Community Services. We have Katie here, who's going to tell us a little bit about that organization. Yeah, so we want--oh, my gosh. We run three different locations where we have different agencies. Our first one is a refugee resettlement agency in downtown Salt Lake. We have our homeless services agency with the St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen. And then we have a food pantry in northern Utah, in Ogden, where we serve communities there as well. Our LDS partners, through LDS Charities, really support us in all three of those organizations. Tonight I'm mainly talking about our refugee resettlement agency and how you can get involved as a mentor. And the best way to do that is to just send an email to us at volunteer@ccsutah.org. Tell me a little bit about what you're interested in, and then I'll filter you to the right person, and we'll get you involved. Awesome, so easy. Thanks, Katie. You're welcome. All right, so we're going to move on here to the Refugee and Immigrant Center. And we have Andrea here, who's going to tell us a little bit about how to get involved with their organization. Hi, so we're from the Refugee and Immigrant Center. And right now we have a lot of volunteer needs, particularly with our refugee youth and our English-as-a-second-language classes. So to volunteer, you can go to our website and you can sign up. And you can work with our youth in that space and helping with tutoring and with classes, and then help also refugees and immigrants learn English as they're settling in Utah. Awesome, and so do we have a best place for them to go if they're looking and they won't be able to come find out from you tonight? Yeah, so they just go to our website, which is ricaau.org, and then they'll go to "Ways to Give," and it'll have "Volunteer" right there. And they can look at all of our opportunities and sign up. Great, Andrea, thank you so much. All right, so our next partner here, we have Gerald, and he is here from the Refugee Services Office. So Gerald, tell me a little bit about how youth can come and volunteer with your organization. The easiest thing to do is look at the Salt Lake City mayor's office website, and there'll be a link for volunteering. The name of the program is "Know Your Neighbor." And we help refugees that have been here two years and longer that still don't have American friends.

The foundation of the program is to try to have every refugee family have an American friend. And you and I have talked about this before when we talked about refugees a couple of years ago. And I remember how passionate you are about how important it is for every person coming into this country to have someone help them assimilate. So that's an exciting opportunity for anyone to be involved in, so thank you for sharing that. All right, so our last stop will be at our own booth, the LDS Charities booth. And we here advocate for global giving and local service. So if you come to this booth today, we're going to be telling you, obviously, about our partners, which offer a lot of local service, and we've talked to a lot of them tonight. And then, of course, we always have opportunities for global giving on our website. So as always, if you guys have any additional questions about LDS Charities, you can find out more by visiting ldscharities.org, as well as any of our partner organizations and the websites they listed. So thanks so much for stopping by, and we are so excited to share more service opportunities with everyone. And we will check in with you later.
