[MUSIC PLAYING]

They begin with a prayer, and they end with a prayer. And that time in between is sacred, time where the Lord is impacting them and touching their hearts. And it's amazing to see the Spirit come into those meetings and lead and guide the facilitator.

Love them, get to know them, pray for them, connect with them. The people can feel that love they have for Him. And that's really what excites them and helps them to feel more comfortable. We truly loved each other because we created that sense of commitment to each other. We just encouraged them and invited them and followed up with them. Support the people who come to the group. Everyone knew that we had a genuine care and interest in each other's success and even in our failures.

Anybody can do this work if they'll come in, give it a little time, and study it and work at it. A facilitator doesn't need to be someone who has the most knowledge about a subject. They don't need to be a great teacher; they just need to be dedicated. They need to be friendly and accepting and just be there. Don't assume that you're the teacher. Just learn along with everybody else. As soon as you see the manual and you open it up, you realize you're not teaching and the Spirit's teaching. If you just follow the materials, it all unfolds. And truly, magic happens.

You learn a lot, and the blessings for you and your family are immense. Those members called to facilitate have universally said this was a blessing in their lives, because not only have they grown close to the members of their class or the group; they have seen the beauties of the gospel in action in their own lives and the blessings of the Lord in the lives of others. This is the best thing I've ever done in the Church, is to be a facilitator.
