Living the gospel is not always easy. We need each other.
So we come to church on Sunday to support, encourage, and inspire each other in our efforts as fellow gospel learners. This is the kind of experience that Come, Follow Me is designed to create for youth and adults. Teachers, your role begins as it does for all of us: as a learner, at home, in your personal study of the scriptures. Use Come, Follow Me--For Individuals and Families to gain doctrinal insights and deeper gospel understanding. Remember, preparation to teach is not just about creating a lesson plan--it is about being a diligent gospel learner and living the gospel in our own lives. Come, Follow Me--For Sunday School is the teacher's manual or guide. Here you will find suggested activities and questions that invite class members to share what they are experiencing at home and to develop rich doctrinal discussions. Each week, you'll want to encourage class members to experience for themselves the power of the word of God in their own lives. These two resources complement each other and strengthen individual and family gospel learning. We should all seek to learn from the scriptures for ourselves and record the spiritual impressions we receive. Then when we gather in Sunday School, we share with each other the doctrine we are learning.
