A common way to teach is often through lecturing, when in fact, most of our students with special needs will learn better when our lessons can be more visual or kinesthetic.

An example was a teacher who was teaching about the Atonement and offered his students a piece of linen to hold as he read the scriptures about the Atonement.

This allowed the lesson to be more concrete and visual for his students to better understand a fairly abstract concept.

Description
Often, lecturing is the default teaching technique; however, a technique that is more visual and kinesthetic in nature is often better, especially with students who have special needs.
