[MUSIC - LOGAN SHELTON, "PRAISE TO THE LORD"] (SINGING) Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation.
O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy health and salvation.
Join the great throng, psaltery, organ, and song, sounding in glad adoration.
You were sent to earth at this precise time, the most crucial time in the history of the world, to help gather Israel. (SINGING) Praise to the Lord. Over all things He gloriously reigneth.
Borne as on eagle wings, safely His Saints He sustaineth. You are among the best the Lord has ever sent to this world. (SINGING) How all thou needest hath been granted in what He ordaineth.
You have the capacity to be smarter and wiser and have more impact on the world than any previous generation. (SINGING) Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy way and defend thee. Surely His goodness and mercy shall ever attend thee. This is the mission for which you were sent to earth. (SINGING) Ponder anew what the Almighty can do, who with His love doth befriend thee. Set a standard for the rest of the world. Embrace being different. Be happy that your light is shining brightly in this ever darkening world. (SINGING) Praise to the Lord. Oh, let all that is in me adore Him.
All that hath breath, join with Abraham's seed to adore Him. Let the "amen" sum all our praises again, now as we worship before Him. I testify that this is the work of Almighty God. He lives. Jesus is the Christ. This is His Church. You are the hope of Israel. Welcome to the first ever Youth Music Festival. My name is Yahosh Bonner. And I am excited to be your host tonight. Because of the current pandemic, I'm in an empty hall, and I miss you guys. Even though we can't be here in person, we are still connected all around the world. And it's amazing that technology allows us to do this. Tonight's music messages are about testimony and connecting, not just to each other but to our Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ. For that reason, we have invited youth from all over the globe to share their music, to share their testimonies, with us. So let's get started. Ashley Killian, who lives in Ichikawa-shi, Japan, will say a prayer for us. And then our Young Women and Young Men's General Presidents, Sister Bonnie Cordon and Brother Steven Lund, have something special to introduce.
[SPEAKING JAPANESE] Hello, everyone. We love you. And we're excited to be with you. Recently, in general conference, our prophet, President Russell M. Nelson, invited all of us to hear the voice of the Lord. He promised each of us if we would take time to hear and heed the Lord's voice, we would be blessed with power to deal with temptations, struggles, and weaknesses. President Nelson also promised that we would see miracles in our relationships and daily work and feel joy, even during hard times. Well, we're going through some hard times right now, and we need to claim those promised blessings from our prophet. We love you, President Nelson. We're excited to follow your invitation to hear the voice of the Lord. One powerful way we can hear the Lord's voice is through music. It invites the Spirit, and it tunes our heart to hear Him. The scriptures tell us repeatedly the Lord delights in song and encourages us to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. I think this next song is a great example of a joyful noise. Some of you may have already heard it online. Today, we're excited to share a new music video from this favorite new song, "Good Day." You can imagine that it wasn't easy making a video during a pandemic. It took a lot of Zoom calls with youth like you to make it happen. And we're excited to share it with you now. We think you'll like it. So here is Liahona Olayan singing "Good Day." [MUSIC - LIAHONA OLAYAN, "GOOD DAY"] (SINGING) I think I know better. I think I know how it should be. I got it all planned out, but He's got a plan for me. Oh, when it's bad weather, sometimes I yell up at the sky, "Today was supposed to be dry," but that's not what I need. Life's so unpredictable, and things might not be goin' my way, but it's goin' to be a good day. Though things are going sideways, I've got a smile on my face, and nothing's gonna bring me down, 'cause I know whatever happens, He knows. He'll never leave me alone. I'll be OK. And it's gonna be a good day. It's gonna be a good day. Whoa. He made all the planets. He made all the stars in the sky. He knows what He's doing. He's going to make it all right. And when the wind's blowing, there might be a reason it is. Somethin' I'm learnin', somethin' I'll never forget. Life's so unpredictable. And things might not be goin' my way, but it's gonna be a good day. Though things are goin' sideways, I got a smile on my face, all day, and nothin's gonna bring me down, 'cause I know whatever happens, He knows. He'll never leave me alone. I'll be OK. And it's gonna be a good day.
It's gonna be a good day. Though things are goin' sideways, I got a smile on my face, on my face. Nothin's gonna bring me down, 'cause I know whatever happens, He knows. He'll never leave me alone. I'll be OK. It's gonna be a good day. Though things are goin' sideways, I've got a smile on my face. And nothin's gonna bring me down, 'cause I know whatever happens, He knows. He'll never leave me alone. I'll be OK. And it's gonna be a good day. It's gonna be a good day. It's gonna be a good day. It's gonna be a good day. Yeah. Woo-hoo-ooo. It's gonna be a good day. It's gonna be a good day. It's gonna be a good day. Yeah.
[SPEAKING SPANISH]
[MUSIC - PIERINA NIETO, "LUZ DEL MUNDO"]
(SINGING IN SPANISH)
[SPEAKING SPANISH] As you may know, this is a bicentennial year. Just think of everything that has happened in the last 200 years from when a 14-year-old boy prayed, asking a really simple question, and the God of heaven and earth knew his name and answered his prayer. You and I may not have the same experience that Joseph did, but when you pray, I promise you that your Father in Heaven hears you, He loves you, has a plan for you, knows your name, and will answer your prayers. [MUSIC - AALIYAH ROSE, "LIKE HIM"]
(SINGING) When this world was created, we all shouted for joy, 'cause it was just the beginning and we had a way to grow and to change.
We were provided a Savior to pay for our sins and so He could show us the way we should go and that we're not alone. And we can be like Him if we just let Him in.
We hear His voice in the dark. He put His love in our hearts so when we see Him again, we can be like Him.
His grace is eternal.
His love without end.
And if we go where He leads us and walk in His ways, we'll see His face. And we can be like Him if we just let Him in.
Hmm. We hear His voice in the dark. He put His love in our hearts so when we see Him again, we can be like Him. When we learn to love the way He loves and find the part of Him inside of us, we will know Him when we see Him. 'Cause we will be like Him.
And we can be like Him if we just let Him in.
We hear His voice in the dark. He put His love in our hearts so when we see Him again, we can be like Him.
Like Him.
Hmm-mm.
This next song reminds me of when I started coaching basketball. I had one player in a game who was just missing all his layups. He wasn't running the plays right. He was just hurting us on the basketball court. So, as a coach, I had to get him out of the game. As he came out, the crowd was roaring. And they were really loud, and you could hardly hear anything. But I saw him lift up his head. And he looked towards the crowd like he was listening to somebody. I looked at the crowd, and I saw that it was his father speaking to him, in a low voice, but his son could still hear him. His father was saying, "You're going to be OK. You'll do better next time." And I think of my Savior. I think about my Heavenly Father and how, even through my mistakes, that love is always there and I can overcome and I can always have hope and be better. They're always telling me that we'll be OK. We just have to listen to Them. [MUSIC - YOSSANDY ABREU AND YSAAC MARTINEZ, "WHAT DOES HE THINK"] (SINGING IN SPANISH)
[SPEAKING PORTUGUESE] [MUSIC - NICOLE LUZ, "BEAUTIFUL SAVIOR"]
[SINGING IN PORTUGUESE]
[SPEAKING PORTUGUESE] [SPEAKING PORTUGUESE] My young friends, what a fantastic time to be alive. In a world where uncertainty abounds, we can find hope and confidence when we look to our Savior, Jesus Christ. As we focus on President Russell M. Nelson's invitation to "hear Him," we can trust that the Savior is near, that He listens, and trust that He can and will speak to us. [SPEAKING PORTUGUESE] [SPEAKING PORTUGUESE]

We both thank you for those beautiful testimonies. May the Lord bless you, my young friends, as you continue to seek to hear Him each day. I promise you that you will continue to hear His voice as you strive to live His gospel and treasure in your heart the words of the prophets, both ancient and modern. We love you all. [MUSIC - YAHOSH BONNER AND OBA BONNER, "PEACE IN CHRIST"] (SINGING) Ooo.
Oh, yeah.
Hmmm. There is peace in Christ when we learn of Him, feel the love He felt for us when He bore our sins. Listen to His words. Let them come alive. If we know Him as He is, there is peace in Christ. He gives us hope when hope is gone. He gives us strength when we can't go on. He gives us shelter in the storms of life. When there's no peace on earth, there is peace in Christ.
Yeah. Hmm.
There is peace in Christ when we walk with Him through the streets of Galilee to Jerusalem. Mend a broken heart, dry their tear-filled eyes, when we live the way He lived, there is peace in Christ. He gives us hope when hope is gone. He gives us strength when we can't go on. He gives us shelter in the storms of life. When there's no peace on earth, there is peace in Christ.
Ooh, ooo, oh, ooo, yeah, ooo.
Hey, He gives us hope, He gives us hope, when hope is gone, when hope is gone. He gives us strength when we can't go on. He gives us shelter in the storms of life. When there's no peace on earth, there is peace in Christ. When there's no peace on earth, there is peace in Christ.
Oh, yeah. Hmmm.
Hi, everyone. I'm David Archuleta. And I'm excited to share a little bit about my experience of singing "I Will Go and Do." When I was first recording this song, I was like, well, I'm not like Nephi. I'm not big. I'm not as strong and as faithful and as brave as Nephi. So how can I go and do the way that Nephi did? But I realized that I don't have to be Nephi to be able to follow God, but I can go and do the way that David would. Nephi didn't always know how he was going to follow God, but that's where we just trust, believe in God, believe that He exists, and go and do. Start with praying, studying the scriptures, and what you learn from Come, Follow Me. And as we do that, we'll have the Spirit with us. And then the more the Spirit's with us, we will be able to go and do. And I hope that you enjoy, now, this little virtual online version of "I Will Go and Do." [MUSIC - "I WILL GO AND DO"]
(SINGING) No matter where I go, I know I'm not alone. [NON-ENGLISH SINGING]
Though my burdens seem too much to bear, He'll bless me. So whatever He commands, [NON-ENGLISH SINGING]
Though the world may back away, I will walk right through. [NON-ENGLISH SINGING]
He will ease my burdens and He'll provide a way. He'll provide a way.
[NON-ENGLISH SINGING]
My journey may seem long, but He'll lift me with His love. [NON-ENGLISH SINGING]
So whatever He commands, I will go and do. I will stand for truth. [NON-ENGLISH SINGING]
I know if I follow Him, follow Him in faith, He will ease my burdens and He'll provide a way. And He'll provide a way. [NON-ENGLISH SINGING] I'll do whatever He commands me, for I know that He will lead me to the promised land.
[NON-ENGLISH SINGING]
I know if I follow Him, follow Him in faith, He will ease my burdens and He'll provide a way. He'll provide a way.
He'll provide a way.
[NON-ENGLISH SINGING]
I feel my Savior there beside me.
Tonight's music and messages are just a sample of what's available right now in the Music section of the Gospel Library app. A playlist of these songs and messages from our leaders can also be found on the Strive to Be YouTube channel. Now, we started our celebration tonight talking about connecting, both to each other and to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Those connections never have to end. Because we need each other; we need to love, encourage, and serve each other. We need to mourn with those that mourn and comfort those that stand in need of comfort. And as we stay connected to each other and to our Father in Heaven, we will have the strength to go and do whatever comes our way. Thanks again, everyone. See you soon, and God bless. [MUSIC - MCKENNA HIXSON, "STRONG"] (SINGING) You are an overcomer born with a lion heart. You can pass through the wind and the fire, but it'll help you to shine even brighter, like the jewel you are. There may be disappointments. Sometimes you'll make mistakes.
But when it feels like you've lost all your chances, there you are rising up from the ashes. Come what may, come what may. You are strong, strong enough to make it through. Whatever comes, you'll be amazed what you can do. You're a force. You're a fighter, a precious child of God. And He made you strong.
You're like a mighty ocean trapped in a hurricane. Though the winds may be blowing around you, there is nothing that could ever drown you. Come what may, come what may. You are strong, strong enough to make it through. Whatever comes, you'll be amazed what you can do. You're a force. You're a fighter, a precious child of God.
And He made you strong.
He made you strong.
You are strong, strong enough to make it through. Whatever comes, you'll be amazed what you can do. You're a force. You're a fighter, a precious child of God.
And He made you strong.
He made you strong.
He made you strong.
