[MUSIC PLAYING] In ministering interviews, leaders help ministering sisters grow in their capacity to receive and act upon revelation that will guide their service. It's more than a time to simply gather information, it's a time to counsel together in order to receive revelation that will bless God's children. To allow your presidency to focus on the spiritual nature of the work, resources such as additional ministering secretaries or technology can help to establish an organized scheduling process. Opening with a prayer will invite the Spirit to direct your discussion. The Spirit can reveal simple but important thoughts and ideas before, during, and after the conversation, and while ministering. Sharing insights from the scriptures or instruction from our prophet and Church leaders will also be helpful and introduce ideas. As a leader, you minister to each ministering sister and can be guided by the Spirit to meet her needs. What will help her? Do you discern any unspoken challenges? How can you support her and her family? As the sister feels your love and genuine interest, she will understand what true ministering can be.

In counseling together about the companionships assigned sisters, the Spirit can help each of you to identify next steps. You might discuss topics such as what the companionship is already doing to serve their sisters, specific needs or concerns that they're aware of, and how to include their sisters' strengths in the work. You might also invite ministering sisters to identify thoughts or ideas that came into their minds during your time together, and encourage them to act upon that revelation. Or help the ministering sisters identify needs that may require additional support from the elders quorum, Relief Society, ward council, bishop, or others. Most importantly, create an atmosphere of sincere love and appreciation for their efforts to minister even if they're just beginning or don't know how to start. As you counsel together under the guidance of the Spirit, you will each be edified and rejoice together. [MUSIC PLAYING]
