Hi, I'm Naomi. [MUSIC PLAYING]

I'm here to give you some tips on how to conduct class and quorum meetings.

One of the responsibilities we have as class and quorum presidencies is to lead Sunday quorum and class meetings. Now, leading in these meetings is not rocket science. (WHISPERING) So don't be scared. Sure it requires some planning, preparation, and a good understanding of the meeting itself, but you got this. [MUSIC PLAYING]

[BOTTLES RATTLING]

[BOOM]

You have been set apart to lead, and the Lord will help you. [INDISTINCT CHATTER] [MUSIC PLAYING]

We all love getting together, but we need to understand that these meetings are not just an awesome opportunity to be with our friends. We can liken the degrees of glory to cats. Or even just to have a lesson. --cat owner, you know what I mean. My cat-- These meetings are intended to help us become more engaged in the work of the Lord. Let's try this again.

Let's make a list of all the activities we could do with some of those nonmember friends. Would any of you be willing to-- This is where we learn the gospel, plan our work, and counsel together. In these meetings, we don't just talk about the work. We make plans to do it. --to write them down? I can do that.

Your meeting lasts 50 minutes.

The first 10 to 20 minutes should be used to counsel together. More on that in a sec. The rest of the time should be used for gospel instruction and discussion. Repeating the Young Women or Aaronic Priesthood Theme will kick off your meeting just right.

The lessons, themes, and other resources are found in the Gospel Library app. Counsel together as a group.

This part of the meeting is really important. I mean, really important. This is where you talk to each other about how to get work done. If you need some help, the lesson has some questions that go along with it. This counsel part is for you to talk about the work of salvation and exaltation. In short, how are we as a class helping the Lord? Here are some things you might want to discuss. If there's an activity that we can-- Talk about living the gospel. Soccer--maybe she'll come to Young Women's. Talk about helping and including others. Invite some of her friends, too, so that they can also come. How you can share your beliefs. What do you think, Bishop? Those are all great ideas. Doing temple work. And young men, talk about organizing and doing the work of the priesthood in your quorum. [MUSIC PLAYING]

Typically, a lesson is led by an adult leader or another youth. Your presidency can plan a teaching schedule during presidency meeting. That's all there is to it. See--not rocket science.

And you don't have to do it on your own. It's a group effort. Now go, serve, and have some fun.
