I believe the main message has to be that life is like a race in a way.

We have a destination, which is to be back to our Heavenly Father, and all of us are champions.

The Olympics inspire billions of people throughout the world. Leaders and members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints met just prior to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games,

where they discussed sports through the lens of the gospel of Jesus Christ. So sont des hommes qui ont été les generations dans les guys.

Gérard Caussé, Presiding Bishop of the Church, led this event.

These young men and young women and young adults are going to come, and they want to learn from the experience of fellow Latter-Day Saints that are champions in their own categories, and see how the gospel has influenced their life and how their performances have been influenced by their beliefs.

He shoved the cup in my face. I took it,

waved it to the crowd,

I handed it down to the other...

Each of the speakers discussed the importance of developing talents, recognizing potential, and facing failure to overcome setbacks. You have to have that faith in your preparation that you're going to do it. I didn't know that was going to happen when I was young. I just had faith. And the gospel is similar. You have to have faith, but you have to, you know, make sure you're in the right mindset to have that faith and and continue to push forward even when times are tough. They have a yearning to be happy and a yearning to be close to the Savior. And I'm so impressed with this rising generation. You can be a disciple of Christ and an example of the believers just through the way you live your life, to your friends and to those around you.

You don't have to grow up to learn to do that. You can do it right now. To persevere even we have some struggle in life, which is normal. So it’s important to be Christ centered and keep having faith. The gospel's message is that everything is possible. You know. I’s still possible, Like it can be done.

And the gospel and Jesus Christ tells you that that hope is possible,

changes are possible. Those changes, leaders say, come through a reliance on Jesus Christ and the principles of His gospel.

There's really a spiritual side with sports, and those gifts and talents must be put together and contribute to doing good for others, to minister to others, to be a good influence in this world. And this is, I think, the spirit that we find in the Olympics.
