I think we can call it a ministry because it is a ministry.
It was an extraordinary occasion.
The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square has concluded its Songs of Hope World Tour in the southeastern United States with a concert in Atlanta, Georgia.
[GOSPEL MUSIC BEING SUNG]
The glee clubs from Morehouse and Spelman Colleges shared the stage again with the choir as part of their ongoing friendship.
This collaboration to take off, it has to be nurtured. It has to be repeated genuinely, and other people will see that that is something that can be done.
Making history by combining our cultures, combining our experiences and sharing the stage together, it's more than just singing. This is a movement.
This Atlanta concert featured a few surprises, like an appearance by well-known Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth.
Hello, Atlanta. And a song about home.
[MUSIC PLAYING AND SINGING]
The South is a very believing region of the United States. And we love that. We love these people, and we consider ourselves their brothers and sisters.
As part of this Hope Tour, the choir also performed at the Georgia State Capitol on the anniversary of nine over 911.
Wow. I mean, it gives you a hopeful feeling, and I think that's a great thing for this choir.
The tour began with a bilingual performance in Florida.
[CHOIR SINGING]
At each stop, the choir accomplished its mission to bring hope and peace to all who hear their voices.
The more we get together, the happier we'll be.
Your song will be my song, and my song will be your song.
The more we get together, the happier we shall be.
