A Prayer for Peace (Moffit)

A Prayer for Peace (Moffit)

Music for Choirs, Submitted Music (1992-1997)

Heavenly Father, Precious Savior,

As we come to Thee in prayer.

We are pleading for Thy children

Who have burdens hard to bear.

Ease our suffering, give us solace

Be our ever constant stay.

Help us Father in our anguish

Give us hope to face each day.

In this world so full of conflict

When there’s tension everywhere.

May we learn to be obedient

And remember Thee in prayer.

May we always love our neighbors,

Whether near or far away.

And respect the rights of others

Living gospel truths we pray.

Help us all to live more worthy

Standing fast on gospel sod.

May we be our brother’s keeper

Sons and daughters of our God.

Fill our hearts with sweet forgiveness.

Teach us patience, Lord, and then

Help us live Thy glorious gospel

In the name of Christ, Amen.
