As Families in the Latter Days

As families in the latter days we meet this sacred hour,
And praise thee, Father of us all, for priesthood’s sealing pow’r.
We thank thee for Thy holy house where loved ones come to Thee,
And there by sacred covenant are bound eternally.
When gathered in our homes in prayer to speak with Thee above,
Our hands are joined; our hearts are knit together by Thy love.
Our Father, may our hearts be turned to thee and parted kin,
To do the work that sets them free to live with thee again.
Please help us gather unto Thee and bless with second birth
The seed of Adam and of Eve, all families of the earth.
Then bring them to Thy temple, there to be forever blessed,
And, as the seed of Abraham, receive Thy joyful rest.
As families meet at Zion’s gates to greet Thy holy Son,
We’ll praise his name and learn from him to live with Thee as one.
Then to Thy heav’n please bring us home as children sealed to Thee
And to our families throughout time and all eternity.
