As soft and gentle as a whisper
Comes the word of God to man,
Bringing anxious souls the message
Of His great and glorious plan.
“Take my hand all ye who hunger
For the truth. Come follow me.
Walk along the narrow pathway
Leading to Eternity.”
“Be not afraid,” the voice reminds us.
I have suffered for your sake.
I will ease your heavy burdens,
I will soothe the soul that aches.”
“Help us, Lord to serve Thee better,”
Humble hearts, in faith, reply.
“Following all Thy commandments,
That is where our safety lies.”
