At the Name of Jesus
Submitted Hymn Texts, Submitted Music (1998-2006)
The sun in splendor shows its light,
The moon in glory also shines,
Yet none so brilliant, none as bright
As Jesus, with his light divine.
Chorus: At the name of Jesus
Every knee shall bow.
Before the throne of heaven,
We adore him now!
The kings of earth may hold great sway
Upon their thrones, in regal state,
But all their pomp shall fade away
At him who did the earth create.
Then let us each, with joyful song,
Proclaim salvation through his grace,
And spread the gospel news along,
That every man may seek his face.
And when the earth begins to reel,
He’ll calm our hearts, dispel our fears,
‘Til at his feet we soon shall kneel,
And bathe them in our grateful tears.
