My God hath been my strength through all my days.
He’s filled me with His love; His name I praise.
Awake, my soul! No longer droop in sin.
Rejoice, my heart! Give praise to God again.
Why should my soul then linger in despair?
Why should I weep, and sin my soul ensnare?
Give place no more to anger, sloth, or pride.
In God I’ll trust; in Him I will abide.
