Encircled in our Savior’s love

What then have we to fear?

Though foes of truth may try our faith,

His help is always near.

His great atoning sacrifice

We scarce can comprehend,

For surely he hath borne our griefs,

Our Savior, Lord, and Friend.

When steps are slow, He lifts us up

To climb a higher hill,

That we may drink the sweeter cup

Of God’s unfolding will.

Our courage in a troubled world

To rise above the strife,

He lives. He loves. He leads the way

To everlasting life.

He calms the winds of disbelief

When storms around us roll.

His spirit softly whispers peace,

Sweet peace unto the Soul.

Encircled in our Savior’s love,

We never walk alone.

His Word, a lamp unto our feet,

Will guide our way back home.

With faith in His redeeming love,

Then may we worthy be

To dwell with Him in realms above

Through all eternity.

Encircled in our Savior’s love,

His glory we’ll behold.

How wonderful that day will be

Within the Father’s fold.
