He Touched Them with His Hands

He Touched Them with His Hands

Solos to Sing, Submitted Music (2012-present)

He touched them with His hands

And He took away their pain,

He charged them, “Tell no man,”

But all nature knew His fame.

He held them in his arms

And dried their tears.

He made the lind to see,

He made the lame to leap,

He made the dead to hear,

And by the power of His voice He calmed the sea,

And in the meekness of His Spirit, Speaks to me.

He spoke in sweet and gentle words

The promises of God.

His sinless life He gave,

Our precious souls to save;

A bitter path He trod.

Someday I’ll touch the wounds

In His hands and feet and side.

I hope to hear Him say,

‘Come with me abide.

Thou good and faithful child.

You’ve served me well:

You’ve fed my little lambs.”

So while I’m on this Earth

I’ll be His hands.
