Heaven's Fire

Solos to Sing, Submitted Music (1998-2006)

Something like the wind upon the water,

Something like the rustling of the leaves,

Something like a prayer,

Something like a whisper,

That was how the spirit spoke to me.

It was still, it was small, when I heard it call,

Call like a far-off choir.

And I gave it place,

I took that leap of faith,

Letting my heart believe,

Letting my heart receive heaven’s fire.

Nothing like the rumbling of the thunder,

Nothing like the crashing of the sea,

Nothing I could touch, nothing to move mountains,

Only something moving part of me.

It was still, it was small, when I heard it call,

Call like a far-off choir.

And I gave it place,

I took that leap of faith,

Letting my heart believe,

Letting my heart receive heaven’s fire.

On and on it burns, leading where it will.

Through the years I’m following it still!

I can hear it call, call like a far-off choir.

And my heart made a place, I took that leap of faith,

Letting my heart believe,

Letting my heart receive, heaven’s fire.
