Home to Me

Solos to Sing, Submitted Music (2007-2011)

A glimpse of heav’n seen in a child’s eyes

A circled moon lighting up the evening skies

The peaceful quiet of newly fallen snow

Reminds me there is more to life than just this world we know

An April rain making earth appear brand new

Then parting clouds as the sun comes bursting through

The sweet assurance of Heav’nly Father’s love

Leaves me yearning to return to my Heav’nly home above

I will believe and I will stand strong

Faithful to the light inside of me

And though the world may tell me I’m wrong

There is no place I would rather be than to live with God eternally

For nowhere else would feel like home to me.

The hope I feel as I gain eternal sight

The strength I find as I follow in His light

My grateful heart as I think of what He’s done

Providing me a way back home through His beloved Son

An answered prayer when I’ve fallen to my knees

The gentle peace when the Spirit speaks to me

The joy I feel when surrounded by His grace

Leaves me longing to return to my Father’s warm embrace.
