How Great the Day When Christ Shall Come

How Great the Day When Christ Shall Come

Submitted Hymn Texts, Submitted Music (1998-2006)

How great the day when Christ shall come:

When ev’ry eye shall see

The King, our God, in might return

To rule eternally.

The righteous saints are lifted up;

The faithful dead arise.

Christ’s celebration fills the earth,

And angels fill the sky.

How blessed the day of holiness

When sin no more is found,

When all shall live in righteousness,

And Satan shall be bound.

The Light of Christ shall fill the earth.

All men shall know His way.

Oh, with one tongue we’ll praise God’s Son

And all His laws obey.

Then, in the day of Jubilee,

All Israel is restored!

Jerusalem shall dwell in peace

And worship Christ, the Lord.

All Zion’s gates are opened wide;

Her children dance and play.

Her sick and lame are whole again.

Her tears are wiped away.

Oh, holy, holy is our God.

salvation is His name.

Let ev’ry knee before Him bow

And ev’ry tongue exclaim

That Jesus Christ has overcome

And as our Lord does reign.

Oh, may our voice in praise rejoice

Till Jesus comes again.
