I Go to Him in Prayer

When I wake at dawn and at the close of day,

I kneel to Heav’nly Father and thank Him as I pray

For blessings that abound and for his constant care.

I feel His love surround me as I go to Him in prayer.

If I must make a choice and don’t know what to do,

Or if I have some questions and want to know what’s true,

If I’ve been feeling sick and need some loving care,

My Heav’nly Father helps me as I go to Him in prayer.

I pray when I am sad or when I am all alone

Or if I should get lost and cannot find my way back home.

Or when my heart is full of gratitude and love

And I just want to thank my dear Father up above,

I find a quiet place and feel Him waiting there

To wrap His arms around me as I go to Him in prayer.

My Heav’nly Father listens when I go to Him in prayer.
