I Will Be Faithful

I want to be the kind of boy my Father can rely on

To pray each day and grow in ways of righteousness and truth,

To be prepared when I receive my call to serve a mission,

And do the things I know that I should do.

I will proclaim the word of God because I know it’s true.

And do what Jesus beckons me to do.

I want to be the kind of girl my Father can rely on

To only speak with kindness and to fill my heart with love,

To always cherish virtue and to look toward the temple,

And pray that God will guide me from above.

I will be pure and do what Heav’nly Father asks of me.

And be the very best that I can be.

I want to be the kind of child my Father can rely on

To do the work that He has sent me here on earth to do,

To follow Him and face the tests that he may place before me.

So I can live with Him when day is through.

And when a choice is placed before me I will choose the right.
