Joseph's Vision (Lund)

Joseph's Vision (Lund)

Music for Choirs, Submitted Music (1992-1997)

When Joseph knelt with-in the grove,

A darkness came, dispelled by prayer.

And then a light more bright than sun,

Revealed two persons standing there.

They spoke and Joseph knew the truth.

The heavens and the earth rejoiced,

As Joseph homeward made his way,

His heart was filled with Jesus’ voice.

For I have seen the Lord.

The Father spoke my name.

How could I then deny

That in the grove they came.

They came in light more bright than sun,

Eternal truth to share.

The Father and the Son,

I saw them standing there.

When Joseph shared the truth with men,

The ministers were filled with scorn.

A boy of not yeat fifteen years,

They ridiculed that sacred morn.

For Joseph knew like Paul of old,

The dark was pierced, truth was restored.

Until his martyrdom he told

His vision of the living Lord.

For I have seen the Lord.

The Father spoke my name.

How could I then deny

That in the grove they came.

They came in light more bright than sun,

Eternal truth to share.

The Father and the Son,

I saw them standing there.
