Led by Faith

Music for Choirs, Submitted Music (1998-2006)

Led by faith along the journey, future paths far from my sight,

Ever trusting in God’s purpose, ever seeking for His light.

As the mists of darkness deepen, when the narrow way is dim.

Fill my heart with sweet remembrance and restore the peace within.

Countless crossroads lie before me. Every footstep brings a choice.

As I struggle in my weakness, my I heed the guiding voice

Of the Spirit’s urgent whisper, keep my willful, wand’ring feet

On the road marked by our Brother to the Father’s safe retreat.

As in childlike steps advancing, in my life are sometimes trod

Paths where I alone would perish, but I put my trust in God.

My refiner’s fire is heated more than I alone can bear.

Yet, within the fiery furnace is my Savior standing there.

In his presence I am strengthened, given courage for my task;

Given comfort and assurance when with broken heart I ask.

“Let thy will be done dear Father, in thy mercy hear my plea:

As I seek the pathway homeward, wilt thou ever walk with me.
