Thy parched and barren wilderness

Let God’s pure light dispel thy gloom.
Look up, reach out, thy holy friend
Stands watching, waiting to attend.
His love’s pure, his grace divine
Can heal a sorrow such as thine.
Look up, O man, with hope and faith,
The way is clear, the path is laid.
Let living waters heal thy soul.
The Savior’s hand can make thee whole.
