My Brother

My Brother’s eyes are kind and radiant as the stars.

At times when I am blind they shine into my heart.

And I find in His gaze His grace to be enough;

For in my Brother’s eyes there is love.

My Brother’s voice is meek and humble is His song

With melodies so sweet I want to sing along,

To memorize each word I hear my Brother speak;

For in my Brother’s voice there is peace.

My Brother’s hands are strong yet gentle is His touch.

When my own strength is gone my Brother lifts me up.

Encircled in His keep I welcome His embrace;

For in my Brother’s hands I am safe.

I love my Brother’s eyes. He sees me as I am.

I know my Brother’s voice will lead me to His hand.

And I’ll not be afraid when trav’ling paths unknown;

For in my Brother’s care, I am in my Brother’s care

Safely in my Brother’s care I am home.
