Priesthood is the power of God
That organized the earth,
That taught the plan of happiness,
And gave our spirits birth.
Priesthood comes by covenant,
By ordination true,
Revealed with the sacred trust
To do what Christ would do.
Priesthood power is exercised
In harmony and prayer,
By kindness and humility,
By faithful, loving care.
Priesthood duty will require
The best a man can give
Of service and devotion pure,
To live as Jesus lives.
Priesthood keys have been restored
To bless our latter day,
To seal forever families
And show a brighter way.
Priesthood power in every land
Will build a growing fire
Of holy faith and brotherhood,
To lift and to inspire.
