Rejoice, the King is Born!
Music for Choirs, Submitted Music (2007-2011)
A babe is born in Bethlehem, sweet and pure and fair.
Jesus, Lord of all the earth, God’s royal prince and heir.
No palace grand to shelter Him, just a lowly stall
Where loving arms shall cradle Him, the Savior of us all.
A babe is born at Christmastime, Lord and King of kings,
Swaddled on a manger bed, bereft of earthly things.
The babe, the wondrous little child sent from God above,
Is nestled near His mother’s heart; she gives Him all her love.
A babe is born, God’s gift of love, to show the better way.
No greater gift has been bestowed than on this Christmas day.
As gentle as a little lamb, soft as fallen snow;
The holy child is filled with light that evermore shall grow.
A babe is born and by His grace, men shall be redeemed.
The Savior born in Bethlehem eternally shall reign.
Rejoice, rejoice in Jesus Christ, who sleeps upon the hay.
Remember Him who knew no sin upon this Christmas day.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice, the King is born! Alleluia!
Sing alleluia! Christ is born this day!
