Repentance (Alma's Song) (Dickman)

Repentance (Alma's Song) (Dickman)

Solos to Sing, Submitted Music (1992-1997)

My soul was troubled, in sorrow and pain,

In torment for all I had done.

My life had no worth, my life held no hope,

Until I remembered God’s Son!

I plead for mercy, forsaking my sins,

I cried out with all of my might.

Then came his sweet peace,

my pains were no more as I was brought forth into Life!

His soul was troubled in sorrow and pain,

In torment for all we had done.

His life was for us,

His life holds our hope

Our Savior, Beloved Son!

His blood bought mercy,

Atonement for sins,

He suffered with all of his might.

Because of His love,

And by His sweet name, we gain Eternal Life!

As bitter as were my pains

Exquisite was my joy

I’ll sing a song of redeeming love forever more

My heart has been reborn

I’ll serve Him all my days

And share His word that all men

may know the wonder of His ways.
