Stand in Holy Places
Music for Women, Submitted Music (1998-2006)
Joseph Smith went to a grove one golden springtime day.
That grove became a holy place when Joseph knelt to pray.
A holy place is where I go to pray or worship God,
And each place I heed promptings to hold the iron rod.
My home can be a holy place, a refuge from the world.
A place where I can freely feel the spirit of the Lord.
We’ll follow prophets, read the scriptures, have fam’ly night each week.
And pray daily together for blessings that we seek.
Wherefore, stand ye in holy places.
Stand ye in holy places and be not moved, and be not moved,
Until the day of the Lord come, until the day of the Lord come;
for behold, it cometh quickly, saith the Lord.
“Stand in holy places,” the scriptures say to me.
I am in a holy place when I live righteously.
Dressing modestly each day and staying clean and pure
Will help me to be worthy to enter temple doors.
Stand in holy places; remember who I am.
I came to earth to prove myself and follow God’s commands.
I’m a noble daughter of my Father up above,
And through my obedience I’ll show Him of my love.
Wherefore, stand ye in holy places.
Stand ye in holy places and be not moved, and be not moved,
Until the day of the Lord come, until the day of the Lord come;
For behold, it cometh quickly, saith the Lord.
“Wherefore stand ye in holy places,” saith the Lord.
