Strength Sufficient For the Day

Morning comes with promise bright,

Hours to fill before the night.

Heaven’s light will lead me on,

God will be my strength, my song.

He will send in His own way

Strength sufficient for the Day.

Through my sunlit hours he’ll lead;

He will guide my willing feet.

Through each trial, each hurt and pain

He will bless me and sustain.

God will send a warming ray—

Strength sufficient for the day.

Evening shadows softly fall

Peace and calm lie over all.

Nature’s beauty seems to say

Heaven is not far away.

God has sent once more today

Strength sufficient for the day.

In his love I’ll safely sleep

While His angels watch do keep.

Cov’ring me ‘til dark of night

Vanishes with morning light.

Lord, please send once more I pray,

Strength sufficient for the day.
