The Lord Is My Strength
1. Ev’ry morning of our lives when a glorious dawn arrives, full of promise,
We’ve goals to seek and heights to reach
While heaven’s light shines upon us.
Ev’ry problem in our way can be conquered as we pray, climbing mountains.
We plan to win, then faith begins as we drink from heaven’s fountains.
Then why remain in darkness, living each day on the edge.
We can travel far beyond if we but make a solemn pledge
That bids us
“Seek for the highest that is in you;
Don’t be afraid to follow dreams.
Seek for the highest that is in you;
Hold fast to Him who redeems.
For in the strength of the Lord, in the strength of the Lord,
You can accomplish all things.”
We can accomplish all things.
2. Ev’ry evening at day’s end when upon our knees we bend in all meekness,
We thank our God for paths we’ve trod,
While heaven’s light blessed our weakness.
Many problems that we’ve met have been pondered, but as yet go unanswered.
By faith we’ll know which way to go, and trust in God, not in man’s word.
We’re not alone in darkness.
He will send the help we need.
If we tune our hearts to feel his love the still, small voice will plead:
It bids us
“Seek for the highest that is in you;
Don’t be afraid to follow dreams.
Seek for the highest that is in you;
Hold fast to Him who redeems.
For in the strength of the Lord, in the strength of the Lord,
You can accomplish all things.”
We can accomplish all things.
