The One Sure Light

The One Sure Light

Submitted Hymn Texts, Submitted Music (1998-2006)

In all my trials the Lord attends, I never walk alone.

He stands beside me in the night; He points the way back home.

The Lord is mighty and shall save each soul who trusts in Him

The one sure light that cannot fail, that darkness cannot dim.

He takes my hand and gently leads along life’s thorny way;

He marks the path that I should tread and teaches me to pray.

The Savior, captain of my soul, directs and leads aright

The one sure light that cannot fail, my pilot through the night.

When I grow faint, Christ bears me up and lifts my heavy load.

He shelters me from rain and wind upon the stormy road.

He strengthens me, as I press on, until the victory’s won

The one sure light that cannot fail, God’s everlasting Son.
