The prophet Lehi prophesied
That all Jerusalem must repent.
But wicked people scoffed and tried
To slay this prophet that God had sent.
So Lehi and all his fam’ly
Fled Jerusalem at the Lord’s command.
Because they obeyed what god had said,
They were promised a promised land.
A promised land, a promised land.
They were promised a promised land.
Through wilderness and on the sea,
The Liahona showed them the way.
Some followed Lehi valiantly,
But some rebelliously went astray.
Since Laman and Lemuel chose to fight,
They found no joy in the Lord’s command.
But Nephi and Sam did what was right.
They found peace in the Promised Land.
The Promised Land, the promised land.
They found peace in the Promised Land.
