To Be Like Him

Music for Women, Solos to Sing, Submitted Music (1998-2006)

Scriptures lay on the table, Pages open wide.

Scenes of my Savior unfolding from inside.

From a tiny babe in Bethlehem to the Hill of Calvary

Lessons for my life in front of me.

I see Him walk on the water, His power to calm the sea,

My faith grows stronger as He calms the storms in me.

He loved the lowly sinner, Healed the leper and the blind.

I feel power of forgiveness; I feel love for all mankind.

To be like Him the Savior of the world,

I want to be like Him the Holy One.

The Rock of my Salvation, He is the King of Kings,

My Lord, I want to be like Him

Jesus fed the thousands, and filled the soul in need.

Bread of His supper is the bread of life for me.

Then kneeling in the garden, He paid the debt for sin.

My road to repentance is the path that leads to Him.

To be like Him the savior of the world,

I want to be like Him, the Son of God.

He is my redeemer, the Lord of Israel,

Now I must learn to be like him

Through mocking crowds He climbs the hill.

Lessons from the cross live with me still.

But as He arose in majesty I will arise

Now I can be like Him The savior of the world,

I want to be like Him. The Son of God.

He is my Redeemer, the Lord of Israel

Now I must learn to be like Him.

From these precious pages, He is real to me.

I know my savior, His life lives on in me.

From a tiny babe in Bethlehem, to the hill of Calvary,

Lessons for my life in front of me.
