We Worship Now Before Thee, Lord

We Worship Now Before Thee, Lord

Music for Choirs, Submitted Music (1998-2006)

We worship now before thee, Lord, and humbly, in our hearts

We seek thy Spirit and thy word, as thou doth e’er impart.

Dear Lord, we meekly seek thy grace:  Forgive us now, we pray.

We e’er would look upon thy face and follow in thy way.

We would repent with broken heart and take the sacrament

We long to go where e’er thou art and be thy testament.

Dear Father, please forgive us now and cleanse us from all sin.

Please show us, Father, teach us how to listen from within.

We seek to know thy holy Son, who sanctified us all.

May we, they children, be as one, each rescued from the fall

By He, who bled from ev’ry pore and prayed with dying breath

That life and glory evermore would conquer sin and death.

Our hearts are fastened to thee, Lord, as emblems we partake

We promise to obey thy Word and live for thy name’s sake

That we may be in glory crown’d and in th’eternal day

Live ever where thy love abounds and in thy kingdom stay.
