Mónica Yañez de Rocha of Mexico was concerned that her husband, Victor, had become uninterested in the Church.
She talked to her bishop, who then asked the ward council and the family’s home teachers to invite Victor to activities and involve him in service. Despite Victor’s initial reluctance, ward members never gave up. Little by little, Victor changed his life.
“When we are really converted to the gospel and do things correctly, the blessings begin to come,” Victor said.
Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of Twelve explained that “the rescue is an invitation for people to rekindle the flame of faith, to again recall what brought them to the initial testimony and to continue to press forward so that their conversion can become deeper.”
