While reflecting on how much missionary work has grown in Brazil during the past 70 years, Elder Russell M. Nelson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles said, “We’ve grown to a church of an excess of a million people with several temples, 250 stakes, and 34 missions at the present time.”
“This is a powerful part of the Church,” he says. “This is becoming part of the heart of the Church. Real strength. And our missionaries from Brazil are among our very best.”
