As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we have a responsibility to care for all of God’s children around the world. One of the ways we can make the biggest impact is by prioritizing the health and well-being of women and children. Through global food security, immunization, education, refugee response, and maternal and newborn care initiatives, our goal is to help children and their communities reach their full potential.
Church members seek out those in need and render aid to all God’s children without regard to religious affiliation, race, or nationality. The Church, its members, and its friends have combined their donations with volunteer efforts to relieve suffering and build self-reliance around the world.

Self-reliance builds a foundation for success and happiness, both for individuals and for communities. The Church offers programs and resources to help foster self-reliance. As we find strength in the Lord, we are able to develop our own talents and abilities and use them to contribute to our communities.
Some of the best opportunities to make a difference begin within our homes and neighborhoods. When we come together to solve local problems and help individuals in our communities feel loved, our efforts create ripples that reach far beyond ourselves.
